Chas Earl
Senior Consultant

I began my career in recruitment in 2014 with a small agency specialising in the construction sector, I then moved to a larger recruitment firm to further develop my skills, progressing into a 360 consultant role in 2016, specialising in the multi-utilities sector.

Over the past nine years, I have built extensive experience within the utilities industry, with a particular focus on water and wastewater. This has given me a strong understanding of the sector and the ability to effectively support both clients and candidates in white-collar roles.

I take pride in building long-term, genuine relationships and delivering a high level of service to both clients and candidates.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and maintaining an active lifestyle. I regularly play football, tennis, and golf, and enjoy making the most of my time both professionally and personally.

Focus at Fyba Talent:
As a Senior Consultant in the Water team, I specialise in connecting Design & Build clients with high-calibre MEP talent for water projects. I deliver tailored recruitment solutions across both contract and permanent roles nationwide.

Joe Connell
Consultant

Having graduated from the University of Chichester with a degree in Physical Education in 2021, my career has taken a bit of a journey before finding my way into recruitment. I spent several years working in sports coaching and events, before making the move into recruitment in July 2025.

I’ve always enjoyed working with people, which is probably why recruitment has suited me so well. My background in coaching has definitely helped, particularly when it comes to understanding different personalities, building relationships and getting the best out of people. I’m naturally quite competitive as well, so I enjoy the commercial side of recruitment and the challenge of consistently trying to improve and hit the next target!

Away from work, sport is still a massive part of my life. Since the birth of my son in 2025, I’ve naturally found myself spending a lot more of my time with him and my fiancée, which I wouldn’t have any other way. I also manage a local men’s football team on a Saturday, so football still plays a big part in my weekends.

Focus at Fyba:
Recruitment Consultant focusing on Civil Engineering, working across both contract and permanent markets and looking after everything from winning new business and building client relationships through to finding the right candidates and managing the full recruitment process.
